I ate a bad treat on Saturday (I heard Mom scream and say something about maggots??) and didn't feel good - at all! I couldn't get comfortable and even Mom couldn't get me to relax. She tried giving me kisses and a belly rub, but I found a spot behind the couch and hid.
I didn't even sleep in my usual spot on the bed - I hid under the bed all night. It was horrible. When Mom got up, I fell asleep on her lap and slept most of the day. Today I feel better.
I'm feeling good. Last night I ate a bone in 5 minutes...lickety split! Then I jumped up on the chair to sit next to my Mom and got in trouble.
This morning we went outside for a little while. I barked at a big dog. I was pretty excited to start my day, so I started skipping when we got off the elevator. Mom pulled on the leash to stop me. I skipped again...stopped by that darn leash...and again. I gave my Mom "the look", but she won.
This weekend is the Air and Water Show. Big, loud, scary planes will be flying over our house all weekend. I will be spending most if this time in the bathroom or my Mom's closet trying to sleep.
Sigh. My Mom says I have two speeds: fast and asleep.
I was so excited yesterday not having my cone on and getting to go outside twice that I went a bit too fast (even made my Mom chase me around the coffee table). By the end of the night I was limping a little - this morning too. I guess I have to take it easy...for three more weeks!
I went for a cab ride last night to visit my Tio Krenly and got to stick my head out of the window. OMG - all of the smells! I couldn't sniff fast enough.
And this morning I met a 9-week-old puppy and got to appropriately sniff his butt. It's a good day.
What is that? They left one staple in my leg. Oh no! That means, not only do I have to wear that stupid cone again, but I have to go back to the doctor. NO!!!!!!
We went to my vet this morning. Tio Krenly drove us today. And, they (people!) decided since I was already there, to give me all my shots.
The nurse said I couldn't get groomed for another 4 weeks!! (Is that long?) Mom thinks I'm too mangy (not sure what that means, but it doesn't sound cute) to wait that long, so Uncle Josh said he had clippers...
D is for doctor. I got my staples out!! And it didn't even hurt.
Uncle Josh drove us (thanks Uncle Josh!) and I gave him lots of kisses, but it seems every time I go for a ride with him I end up at the hospital. Hmm...
I get my staples out tomorrow!!! I hope it doesn't hurt. I hope that means no more cone too. I've kind of gotten used to it, but think I hurt my Mom trying to give her kisses with it on this morning.
I'm trying to think of my new hat as an accessory. Don't I look cute? (My Uncle Paul took this picture. He thinks I'm cute.)
Really, I'm kind of tired of wearing it. I run into furniture and knock over my bowl of water. I can't even lick my leg - which is driving me crazy! I get my staples out on Friday (I hope that's soon), then may get rid of the cone too!
